First week of August

A more or less standard ringing routine was carried out on 5 days between August 1st and 8th. Conditions were decent but not perfect - little wind, but also very little easterlies to bring any migrants to the trapping area. The focus this week was on trapping Tringa-waders with playback in the station ponds, which resultet in a good catch. Both Greenshank and Wood Sandpiper were trappd in record numbers.
