Revtangen BO April 26th-27th

The wind settled again after a few days with too strong NW. Nets were open from 11-18 on the 26th and 08-18 on the 27th. Still rather quiet, but an increas in diversity with a few nice birds trapped.

This male Grasshopper Warbler was singing briefly in the trapping garden on the 27th before it was caught. Gresshoppesanger.

Ringed, April 26th-27th: Wood Pigeon 1, Collared Dove 1, White Wagtail 2, Meadow Pipit 8, Greenland Wheatear (O.o.leucorhoa) 3, Fieldfare 3, Grasshopper Warbler 1, Willow Warbler 2, Chiffchaff 3, Common Starling 3, House Sparrow 4, Eurasian Siskin 1, Common Linnet 7, Yellowhammer 1, Reed Bunting 1. Total = 41. Also 16 controls.

3 "Greenland" Wheatears was a nice start, hopfully we can catch a few more during the coming two weeks. Steinskvett av underarten leucorhoa (Grønlandssteinskvett).

Ringmerket 26.-27. april: Ringdue 1, tyrkerdue 1, linerle 2, heipiplerke 8, grønlandssteinskvett (O.o.leucorhoa) 3, gråtrost 3, gresshoppesanger 1, løvsanger 2, gransanger 3, stær 3, gråspurv 4, grønnsisik 1, tornirisk 7, gulspurv 1, sisvspurv 1. Total = 41. Også 16 kontroller.

Nice migration on the 27th, with 2200 Barnacle Geese end 92 Red-throated Divers flying north between 10.30 and 14.30.
