Revtangen BO May 12th

ESE winds all over southern Norway today produced a large fall of migrants, and several bird observatories reported record numbers of birds caught and ringed (more than 600 at Jomfruland, more than 300 at Utsira). A good spring catch at Revtangen also:

Collared Dove 2, White Wagtail 1, Meadow Pipit 1, Common Redstart 11, Greenland Wheatear 1 (first this season), Song Thrush 2, Redwing 2, Blackcap 2, Garden Warbler 1 (first this season), Lesser Whitethroat 7, Common Whitethroat 8, Willow Warbler 91, Chiffchaff 1, Pied Flycatcher 3, Spotted Flycatcher 1 (first this season), House Sparrow 1, Brambling 1, Greenfinch 2, Lesser Redpoll 4, Common Linnet 3. Total = 145.

Ringmerket: Tyrkerdue 2, linerle 1, heipiplerke 1, rødstjert 11, steinskvett (leucorhoa) 1, måltrost 2, rødvingetrost 2, munk 2, hagesanger 1, møller 7, tornsanger 8, løvsanger 91, gransanger 1, svarthvit fluesnapper 3, gråfluesnapper 1, gråspurv 1, bjørkefink 1, grønnfink 2, brunsisik 4, tornirisk 3. Total = 145.
