Revtangen BO October 2nd

The third Common Rosefinch of the autumn

A clear night with the sky alive with calls of migrating redwings and song thrushes. Dawn produced a decent arrival of Blackcaps, Winter Wrens and European Robins. As soon as the sun was up the nets went down - once again we were overrun by the Blue Plague, in the form af biting, gnawing, scratching and screaming Blue Tits. Bramblings were on the move in numbers for the first time this autumn, but we were to busy extracting birds to count them.

Nets open 07-18, although 2/3 of them were closed much of the day. Netmeter hours approx. 2000. Playback on Blackcap through the night and Brambling during the day.
