Warmer weather and early arrivals

Finally some decent wind and weather! The wind turned ESE but quite strong on the 3rd, and continued with light NE in the morning hours also on the 4th and 5th. Nets were open 06-12 all 3 days, netmeter hours approx. 6200 in total those 3 days.

A high number of Chiffchaffs were ringed these 3 days considering the quite early dates. 

Ringed: 
3.4: Winter Wren 1, Dunnock 2, European Robin 15, Redwing 1, Common Blackbird 5, Blackcap 2 (equals earliest arrival ever), Chiffchaff 16, Goldcrest 5, Common Magpie 1, Tree Sparrow 1. Total = 51.  Also 3 controls.

4.4.: Winter Wren 1, Dunnock 1, European Robin 9, Common Blackbird 1, Redwing 1, Song Thrush 1, Blackcap 1, Chiffchaff 3, Tree Sparrow 1, Greenfinch 1, Yellowhammer 2. Total 22. Also 18 controls, including a Yellowhammer ringed in 2013.

5.4: Pied Wagtail 1, Dunnock 1, European Robin 16, Song Thrush 2, Common Blackbird 2, Chiffchaff 4, Goldcrest 15, House Sparrow 3, Greenfinch 3. Total = 47.

Observations:
3rd: 2 Black-tailed Godwits, 1 Mistle Thrush
4th: 1 Grey Wagtail flew over.

Gjerdesmett 2, jernspurv 4, rødstrupe 40, svarttrost 8, måltrost 3, rødvingetrost 2, gransanger 23, munk 3, fuglekonge 20, pilfink 2, gråspurv 3, pilfink 2, skjære 1, grønnfink 4, gulspurv 2. Total = 119.
